So your partner finally popped the question and you’ve said yes to the ring, it’s now time to make things official. Most of the times, a partner proposes when the couple is on their own or in a very intimate setting, this gives them the opportunity to express their feelings to one another without feeling the pressure of onlookers. In such a case, it’s very rare to get good quality photos. Make the most of your moment with a fall-inspired engagement announcement.
Here are some ideas for you:
Put a ring on it
Engagement announcements are an acceptable time to show off your newly acquired rock. Place your engagement ring on beautiful fall leaves to commemorate the moment. Get one the partners to hold up this leaf with the ring on it while the couple pose behind. Make sure the focus is on the leaf with the ring.

Under the falling leaves
Get your photographer to take pictures of you two under falling autumn leaves. You’ll need an outdoor location for this shoot; the soft natural lighting will make the image even more romantic. The couple can pose whichever way the like; it’s the setting that matters. Wearing sweaters, cardigans, and jumpers will really add to the feel of autumn too.
Go apple picking
Apple orchards look incredible this time of the year. Use an apple orchard as your venue for an engagement photo shoot. Prepare a pale of apples from the orchard and carve out a heart with arrows on the top most apple that’s visible. Get the couple to hold up a sign that says “He picked me!” Your friends and family surely won’t stop gushing over these images!
Ring on a flannel
Plaid flannels are a staple for the fall season. It’s perfect to wear as a scarf, a cardigan, or even a cute skirt. Use a fall themed flannel to announce your good news! Place your ring on this flannel and throw in some other accents to make the photograph.
Campfire themed announcement
Do you and your partner love the coziness of a campfire? Include your love for a good old campfire in your engagement announcement. You and your partner can stand behind the fire holding hands. Capture the flame in the foreground with the ring as the focal point of the picture. Make sure you dress for fall too, warm tones, thick fabrics, and maybe boots too.
