Are You Prepared For Unforeseen Wedding Day Emergencies?

There’s no end to the number of things that can go wrong on the one day you’re supposed to look and feel your absolute best.

Unsightly pores, a broken heel, ripped dress, late arrivals, terrible weather, last-minute arguments—the list is endless; and the possibilities are oh so terrifying!

As teenage girls, we all dread a vicious zit making its ghastly appearance at the most ungodly hour.

Prom night, graduation party, birthdays, formal dinners—each occasion is exposed to the threat of an unforeseen debacle.

But nowhere are its implications as severe as on your wedding day, where the slightest deviation from your plans can result in a disaster of epic proportions!

Sound the Alarm

Accidents happen all the time.

You break a nail, spill coffee, trip and fall, forget your wallet—it happens to the best of us!

But there’s something about the surreal magic of a wedding day that tends to make us sticklers for perfection—driving us to the brink of insanity as we make sure every hair is in place (literally and figuratively)!

As a professional and best Dallas wedding photographers, I can tell you right off the bat that no matter how many precautions you take to ensure your day is picture perfect, some things are simply beyond your control—and that’s OKAY!

Having captured a fair share of mesmerizing weddings, I’ve observed a number of brides and grooms run into all kinds of common conundrums that can put a damper on their mood and occasion.

Wedding Contingency Plan

Here’s the thing:

Bad mood + social anxiety = terrible wedding photographs.

Eeek!

In other words, not only is this a big fat blemish on your wedding album, it reflects poorly on my credibility as a photographer—which is why I’ve rounded up some tips to help you deal with the worst

  • Unpredictable weather

It’s raining, it’s pouring—the wedding is boring!

I’ve seen several outdoor weddings get touched by a downpour—much to the couple’s chagrin.

But it’s Mother Nature—whaddyagonnado?

First things first: be spontaneous and keep a positive attitude.

Always stay up to date with the weather forecast and even if you have the slightest hunch, make sure the venue offers an indoor facility where you can take shelter for the time being.

Umbrellas are your friends, use them generously. And remember: nothing beats the romance of kissing in the rain! #TheNotebookWedding #RainyRomance

  • Wardrobe malfunction

Your tie’s missing or you ripped a part of your dress—the horror of horrors, I get it.

Fortunately, you can tweak small wardrobe problems with a thread and needle or quick-fix solutions. As for the tie, you’d be wise to keep a replacement handy—you know, just in case you’re busy thinking about marrying the love of your life.

As a photographer, I’ve learned useful tricks to ensure that small accidents such as these don’t keep your wedding photographs from turning out less than perfect.

Wedding photography is a passion for weddings AND photography—and as a professional, I’m committed to showcasing my love for both by making sure your wedding album captures the essence of true love and celebration.
