As a bride, you’ll do everything and anything you can to make sure you have a perfect wedding! From the right venue, dress to the tasty cake!
But have you asked yourself, what can you do to make your experience with your Wedding Photography better? After all when the vowels are read and the music stops, all you’ll have left are those photographic memories.
Hopefully by now you’re close to the finish line of hiring your selected vendors..(like yours truly LHP..:) to cover your special event.
But apart from that, there are still many facts you need to take into account for satisfying results.
How to be a Helpful Bride to Your Wedding Photographer
- Be Prepared for ALL Emergencies
There’s nothing worse for a wedding photographer than a hysterical or angry bride. The cake may have turned out to be a total mess; you may not be feeling the hair or makeup.
What you need to remember is there’s always a solution. Don’t let the stress of it all get to you. Remember to always take a deep breath and know at the end of the day you will be marrying the man of your dreams! You need to enjoy your wedding day! 🙂
- Understand Time Durations
Things can get late, even if you’re trying to run everything on schedule. Allow two hours for your wedding photoshoot if you want gorgeous photographs. Keep in mind that even on professional photoshoots; it takes models and other professionals the whole day to take good photographs. Unless you’re a model yourself, keep in mind that it will take 5-10 minutes to set everything up.
- Be Careful of Your Hair and Makeup
Consider getting a hairdo that doesn’t disturb your normal look in photographs. If you wear your hair down, that would cover more of your face, which is a big NO for candid shots. Pull your hair away from your face, back to your sides and let the photographer find the right angle.
- Consider Your Bridesmaids’ Attire
Your bridesmaids will not be wearing their gowns the whole day. Consider giving them bridesmaids robes instead. If your bridesmaids are going to take part in the wedding photoshoot, having them wear adorable robes, instead of their jeans or sweatpants. This will lend your pictures a more sophisticated look.
- Understand and Explain Wedding Etiquette
Don’t let Uncle Bob ruin some prize photo-worthy moments!
Your wedding photographer will not be able to say anything if guests start jostling to get in front to capture a picture of your first kiss with your beau. It’s up to you to tell them to stay out of the way and not disrupt the official photo-taking process. Although, you might want to do so in a polite way like writing instructions on a whimsical chalkboard at the entrance.
Disclaimer to the paragraph above..lol. Unfortunately I’ve had this happen quite often and my solution is to quickly move for another angle.
